Jimmy Raye is the son of
Jimmy Raye II , who is today therunning back coach for theNew York Jets . While attending Irvine High School in Irvine,California , Raye lettered in football,basketball , and track. In football, Raye won All-League and All-CIF honors as adefensive back and was also the team's startingquarterback .College career
Raye attended San Diego State and was a
letterman in football as awide receiver . He finished eighth on the school's all-time receiving list, racking up 111 catches.National Football League career
His
National Football League career began when he signed afree agent contract with theLos Angeles Rams . He ended up playing in the final two games of the season.He currently the Director of Player personnel.
