The Redwood Highway is a north-south highway that runs through the Redwood Empire of California and north to Grants Pass, Oregon. It begins signed as U.S. Route 101 at the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco and basically runs through the coast redwood areas of California's north coast to the City of Eureka. From there, it follows the Pacific coast to Crescent City. The Redwood Highway then becomes part of U.S. Route 199, where it travels inland northeast to meet Interstate 5 in Grants Pass.

A sign in Grants Pass near the northern end of the Redwood Highway reads, "Right lane for Redwood Empire, Oregon Caves, Golden Gate Bridge". [http://www.westcoastroads.com/oregon/us-199_or.html]
