Tarrants is a village in Pike County, Missouri, United States. The population was 30 at the 2000 census.

Geography

Tarrants is located at coor dms|39|21|23|N|91|10|60|W|city (39.356275, -91.183321)GR|1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.0 square miles (0.1 km²), all of it land.

Demographics

As of the censusGR|2 of 2000, there were 30 people, 15 households, and 10 families residing in the village. The population density was 689.3 people per square mile (289.6/km²). There were 15 housing units at an average density of 344.6/sq mi (144.8/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 96.67% White and 3.33% African American.

There were 15 households out of which 6.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 66.7% were married couples living together, and 33.3% were non-families. 20.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 13.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.00 and the average family size was 2.30.

In the village the population was spread out with 3.3% under the age of 18, 6.7% from 18 to 24, 20.0% from 25 to 44, 40.0% from 45 to 64, and 30.0% who were 65 years of age or older.
