Ashburn is a village in Pike County, Missouri, United States. The population was 51 at the 2000 census, at which time it was a town.

Geography

Ashburn is located at coor dms|39|32|45|N|91|10|16|W|city (39.545755, -91.170982)GR|1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 0.1 square miles (0.3 km²), all of it land.

Demographics

As of the censusGR|2 of 2000, there were 51 people, 23 households, and 14 families residing in the town. The population density was 385.2 people per square mile (151.5/km²). There were 32 housing units at an average density of 241.7/sq mi (95.0/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 100.00% White.

There were 23 households out of which 17.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 47.8% were married couples living together, 8.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 39.1% were non-families. 21.7% of all households were made up of individuals and 13.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.22 and the average family size was 2.71.

In the town the population was spread out with 13.7% under the age of 18, 5.9% from 18 to 24, 25.5% from 25 to 44, 35.3% from 45 to 64, and 19.6% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 49 years. For every 100 females there were 88.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 100.0 males.

The median income for a household in the town was $11,797, and the median income for a family was $11,797. Males had a median income of $0 versus $0 for females.
