Miraleste Intermediate School occupies a terraced, twenty-acre campus on a Rancho Palos Verdes hillside that overlooks the Los Angeles and Long Beach harbors. MIS serves three of the cities on the Palos Verdes Peninsula: Rancho Palos Verdes, Rolling Hills, and Rolling Hills Estates. The campus opened to students in 1968 as a high school. In June 1991, the school became an intermediate campus serving grades 6, 7, and 8.
