Natsuo Yamaguchi (山口 那津男 Yamaguchi Natsuo , born 1952) is a Japanese politician of the New Komeito Party, a member of the House of Councillors in the Diet (national legislature). A native of Nakaminato, Ibaraki and graduate of the University of Tokyo, he was elected to the House of Representatives for the first time in 1990. After losing his seat in 1996, he ran unsuccessfully for the House of Representatives in 2000. In 2001 he was elected to the House of Councillors for the first time. He became the party's leader on 8 September 2009.
