Kingshott School is an Independent preparatory school in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, England. The current headmaster is Paul Ilott, and the school holds around 330 pupils aged four to thirteen. In each of the nine years there are two classes each consisting of between 15 and 22 pupils. In year three each pupil is placed into one of four houses. Pupils compete in many different inter-house competitions such as sports, debates and chess.

Named after Sir Francis Drake.

Nelson

Named after Horatio Nelson the British admiral.

Pitt

Named after William Pitt, the British prime minister.

Lessons Taught

At Kingshott, Latin, Maths, Science, French, English, RS, Design Technology, Art, History, Geography and Food Technology are taught in the classroom. Games and PE are also taught by staff. There are many optional other subjects taught, including Greek and Spanish.
