system=Oklahoma TurnpikeThe Will Rogers Turnpike runs from Tulsa,
Oklahoma to theMissouri state line. It is 88 miles long and costs $3.50 to drive one way. It has a posted speed limit of 75 MPH, which makes it possible to get from Tulsa, Oklahoma to Joplin, Missouri in 70 minutes. One unique feature is a McDonald's (formerly called the "Glass House," and owned by the now-defunct Interstate Hosts company) that sits over the turnpike, and one can see the traffic passing beneath. The McDonalds is purported to be the "world's largest." (the McDonalds onInternational Drive inOrlando, Florida , believed by some to be the largest, actually purports only to have the largest PlayPlace). The road is designated Interstate 44, but was built prior to the designation to Interstate standards. It opened to traffic in June, 1957 and was designated as I-44 in 1958 along with theTurner Turnpike connecting Tulsa and Oklahoma City.Law enforcement along the Will Rogers Turnpike is provided by
Oklahoma Highway Patrol Troop XA, a special troop assigned to the turnpike.cite web|url=http://www.dps.state.ok.us/ohp/tngrct/OHPtroops.htm|title=Oklahoma Highway Patrol|accessdate=2008-04-05]Exit list
