Danny Ben-Moshe

Danny Ben-Moshe is a documentary film maker and an Associate Professor at Victoria University in Melbourne, Australia. He coproduced and codirected the documentary "The Buchenwald Ball" (2006)[1] and recently completed the documentary "The End of the Rainbow" (2009) about a week in the life of the iconic live music venue in Melbourne, The Rainbow Hotel. He is currently completing the documentary "Shalom Bollywood: The Untold Story of Jews and Bollywood".

Danny is a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Strategic Economic Studies at Victoria University where he specialises in diaspora studies. He is the coauthor of the book "Israel, the Diaspora and Identity".[2] He has also been published internationally on subjects like anti-semitism, holocaust denial, and racism. He has also written a large number of non-academic publications in newspapers and magazines including The Age, The Australian, The Canberra Times, and The Jerusalem Post. He holds a degree in law and a Doctorate in Philosophy.

Danny has worked in Jewish public policy for the British-Israel Public Affairs Centre in Israel and the B'nai B'rith Anti-Defamation Commission in Australia.

Danny is currently based in London working on film projects and is a research fellow at the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London.

He received a Commonwealth Centenary of Federation medal for leadership against and research into racism in Australia.
