History

It was constructed in 1935 during the reign of the last Nizam, Mir Osman Ali Khan. It was named after his second son Moazzam Jah. Jambagh flower market was a part of the market. The fruit market was shifted to Kothapet Fruit Market in 1980s.

Commercial area

Apart from the historic Moazzamjahi Market, there are lots of shops around. There is a bakery called as Karachi bakery [1] in this suburb, popular for its Dil khush and fruit biscuits.

Transport

Since Nampally is very close, this place is well connected by the buses run by APSRTC.

MMTS Train station is close by at Nampally.
