- SCUBA Diving International
Scuba Diving International (SDI) is a SCUBA training and certification agency. It is the recreational arm of Technical Diving International, the world’s largest technical diver training organization. [cite web| url=http://www.sdi-onlinetraining.com/learn.cfm?callname=learn_about_sdi| title=Learn About SDI| publisher=Scuba Diving International| accessdate=2007-10-15] SDI is the only diver training agency that requires students to have access to a modern dive computer on all dives during training from the very start. [cite web| url=http://www.tdisdi.com/index.php?did=2&site=3|title=Who is SDI? |publisher=Scuba Diving International| accessdate=2007-10-17]
SDI is also unique amongst recreational diver training organisations in that it recognises solo diving as part of recreational diving, and offers a special training course relating to it. [cite web| url=http://www.tdisdi.com/index.php?did=44&site=1|title=SDI - Solo Course a unique learning opportunity |publisher=Scuba Diving International| accessdate=2008-06-05] Every other major recreational diver training organisation mandates diving with a "buddy" at all times.
SDI is a member of The World Recreational Scuba Training Council. [cite web|url=http://www.wrstc.com/agency.php?country=usa|publisher=World Recreational Scuba Training Council|title=United States Agencies|accessdate=2007-11-21]
