The Cugir River ( Hungarian: Kudzsir-patak ) is a tributary of the Mureş River in Transylvania, Romania.

Upper Reach

The river starts at the junction of headwaters Râul Mare and Râul Mic

Lower Reach

The lower reach of the river starts downstream of the railway bridge over the river. The river then divides into two branches:

• Balomir on the right side
• Şibot on the left side
