Miki Mia's latest role was in How I Met Your Mother as the Chinese waitress. Miki's best known role was in The 40-Year-Old Virgin as the waxing lady.^{[clarification needed]} Miki Mia also spends her time in Japan helping her aunt at the beauty salon waxing people which is how she got the role for The 40-Year-Old Virgin. Miki Mia was in Japan the day she got the phone call about the chance to be the waxing lady in The 40-Year-Old Virgin. So she flew to the United States to met up with the rest of the cast and the director of The 40-Year-Old Virgin and began filming to be the waxing lady. Miki Mia is also working other movies and TV shows to hopefully become a big star someday. Currently, she is raising her two children and plans to make a return to the silver screen once she is ready.

She has also competed in professional eating contests in Japan and the United States. Most recently, she competed in the 2008 World Gyoza Eating competition held in Little Tokyo, Los Angeles, California. She was the only female participant. This was her first MLE speed eating contest. She ended up devouring 50 gyozas in 10 minutes.
