As of the
census GR|2 of 2000, there were 712 people, 290 households, and 198 families residing in the village. Thepopulation density was 1,033.0 per square mile (398.4/km²). There were 298 housing units at an average density of 432.4/sq mi (166.8/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 96.49% White, 0.14% African American, 0.56% Native American, and 2.81% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.84% of the population.There were 290 households out of which 30.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.4% were married couples living together, 9.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 31.7% were non-families. 26.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 10.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.46 and the average family size was 2.93.
In the village the population was spread out with 24.7% under the age of 18, 8.3% from 18 to 24, 30.3% from 25 to 44, 22.9% from 45 to 64, and 13.8% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 37 years. For every 100 females there were 93.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 94.9 males.
The median income for a household in the village was $39,917, and the median income for a family was $48,375. Males had a median income of $34,375 versus $25,750 for females. The
