Club career
A youth product of Sporting Clube de Portugal, Felgueiras made his professional debuts with Sporting de Espinho, in the third level, playing two seasons on loan.
Released in 2007, he joined second level's Portimonense SC, being first-choice the vast majority of the season. In 2008–09, he upgraded yet another level, moving to Sporting de Braga; he only appeared in one match in his first year (10 minutes of the last match, a 1–1 draw at league champions F.C. Porto).
For 2009–10, Felgueiras was loaned to another first division club, Vitória de Setúbal, as another goalkeeper, Poland's Paweł Kieszek, returned from his spell at the same club. In July 2010, he returned to Braga, appearing in both legs of the 4–2 aggregate win against Celtic F.C. for the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League; however, he was soon deemed surplus to requirements and made way to another Brazilian (Felipe, the 17th in the squad), leaving for Rio Ave F.C. until the end of the 2010–11 campaign.[1] His debut for his new club came in the league opener, a 0–1 home loss against C.D. Nacional.
International career
Felgueiras was capped by Portugal at U-16, U-17, U-18, U-19, U-20 and U-21 levels, for a total of 42 international appearances.
