RTM2 is a television station in Malaysia that is owned by the Malaysian Government through Radio Televisyen Malaysia.

Broadcasting of RTM2 began in 17 November 1969 when the RTM tv channel was split into two channels. It offers entertainment programs, films in Malay, English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Tamil, and Hindi. There are also few dramas and movies in Thai and Spanish.

RTM2, the popular television station from RTM appeared with a new image and slogan"Your Family Channel" (Formerly known as "The Golden Channel"). The launch of RTM2 as "Your Family Channel" was on August 20 2004, after the renewing of RTM1 that was launched on August 4 when RTM1 was changed to "The Infotainment Channel" by the Information Minister, Datuk Paduka Abdul Kadir Sheikh Fadzir.

As one of government departments, some elements such as sex and violence are controlled. With the competition with other increasing commercial networks which is expanding, new programs such as Playtime On 2, E-Shoppers, Whassup and Elegance On 2 were introduced to the network. Other than that, new slots were introduced for Chinese and Indian viewers. Called "Jajaran Cinta", it showcases Tamil and Hindi programmes daily at 5:00pm till 7:00pm, Mandarin and Cantonese programmes from 7:00pm till 11:30pm on Mondays, and 7:00pm till 8:30pm on Tuesdays to Sundays. Chinese programmes are also aired in the morning on weekdays at 10:00 a.m. till 12:30 a.m. till 1:30 a.m.

On April 1, 2006, RTM2 assumed its present name (previously known as TV2), but its slogan remains the same; and since April 3, 2006, this channel broadcasts 24 hours daily, offering more programmes for viewers who stay up late to watch television.

TV Pendidikan programmes were also aired through this channel from 1972 to 1999, alternate with RTM1 in the afternoon until late 1990s where it airs in the morning. Now, it is aired on TV9.

RTM2 currently broadcasts under VHF (Very High) Frequency band III, although some parts of Malaysia retransmits the signal in UHF where it is normally tuned to 2. In the Klang Valley, the VHF channel for RTM2 is 8, with a weaker transmission on channel 10 in certain parts of the Klang Valley.

RTM2 is also available over Astro on channel 102 (formerly on channel 6, later channel 2).

In 2007, this channel has been criticised for not airing most of the F1 events (only 7 out of the 17 races live, the rest are delayed telecast). Many viewers are upset that RTM is not serious about the coverage and this telecast rights should be given back to private TV stations.
