His most recent work is "Austrian Economics and the Political Economy of Freedom".
Life
Ebeling received his B.A. in economics from
California State University , Sacramento, and his M.A. in economics fromRutgers University .He served as a lecturer at the
National University of Ireland at Cork from 1981 to 1983, as an assistant professor at theUniversity of Dallas from 1984 to 1988, and then as the Ludwig von Mises Professor of Economics atHillsdale College from 1988 to 2003 ( [http://www.mackinac.org/bio.asp?ID=126] ).From 1989 to 2003, he also served as vice president of academic affairs for the
Future of Freedom Foundation . Ebeling was named president of FEE in May 2003.Ebeling lectures extensively on
privatization ,monetary reform ,free trade , and other topics in theUnited States ,Latin America , andEastern Europe . In 1996, he and his wife, Anna Ebeling, obtained the lost papers ofLudwig von Mises in a formerly secret Soviet archive inMoscow .From 2004-2005 Ebeling served as an AdJunct Professor at
The King's College in New York City. He taught mostly economics classes, including Microeconomics and History of Economical Thought.In 2000, Ebeling was asked by
Harry Browne to seek the nomination of the Libertarian Party forVice-President of the United States , but turned down the offer because of work commitments.Richard Ebeling lives in
