Minnesota VikingsPlaying stats at DatabaseFootball.com David Middleton (November 23, 1933 – December 29, 2007) was an American football wide receiver, who played for the Detroit Lions and the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League. He played college football at Auburn University.
Middleton returned to Ann Arbor and practiced medicine in the area. He played recreation softball in Ann Arbor during the 70's, 80's and 90's. In 1997 he suffered a stroke and in 2001 he moved to Huron Woods, an assisted living facility. On Christmas Eve 2007, Middleton fell and suffered a head injury, which led to his death five days later.
