The MK1 Dispatch in the UK is commonly used as a taxi and can now be bought from as little as £839 used. Parkers state that as pros and cons for the vehicle that it is "good value", but that a Ford Transit Connect is "more versatile".[1] The model received a slight facelift in 2004, which changed most of the front end; including bumper, bonnet and the headlamp had the indicator built-in rather than being a separate light afterwards.

The Mk2 Dispatch gained increased cargo space and more body styles than the older version but became more cramped in the front for more than one person. The main competitors of the new MK2 Dispatch are the Renault Trafic and Volkswagen Transporter.[2]
