Sevel Nord (from "Société Européenne de Véhicules Légers") is the name given to a car factory near
Valenciennes ,France , as the result of a joint-venture betweenPSA Peugeot Citroën (PSA) andFiat , founded in 1978. It is managed by PSA. Production started in1994 .There is another factory in
Italy calledSevel Sud which assembles the mid-size commercial vehicles of PSA andFiat SpA.There are two main versions of the Sevel Nord vehicle range, a
large MPV and a light commercialvan . The minivan lineup had a major redesign in 2002.The minivan has been marketed as:
*Citroën Evasion , from1994 to2002 when it was replaced by the C8.
*Fiat Ulysse I & II
*Lancia Zeta until2002 , replaced by the Phedra
*Peugeot 806 , which became the 807 with the2002 relaunch.The commercial van is marketed as:
*Citroën Jumpy (Citroën Dispatch on the UK market)
*Fiat Scudo
*Peugeot Expert .Characteristics of the minivan:
* Two fixed seats in front, plus three individual removable seats in the middle row, and two individual removable seats or a three-seater bench in the back.Model history of the minivan:
* Launched in March 1994 with a choice of twopetrol engines (1.8, 2.0) and two turbodiesel (1.9, 2.1).
* October 1998: restyling of the front grille and rear number plate area.
* January 2000: 2.0 HDi replaces the 2.1 TD.
* July 2000: all petrol engines replaced by the new 2.0 16v 137horsepower (102 kW). Automatic transmission introduced.
