Hanover Square, London, is a square in
Mayfair ,London W1,England , situated to the south west ofOxford Circus , the major junction whereOxford Street meetsRegent Street .The streets which converge at Hanover Square are [in ABC order] :
Brook Street , Dering Street, Hanover Street, Harewood Place and Princes Street.Hanover Square was developed in the early 18th century as a fashionable residential address, and was initially occupied mainly by
Tory aristocrats. While a few of the 18th century houses remain largely intact, most of the square has been reconstructed in a variety of periods. It is now almost entirely occupied by offices, including the head office ofKnight Frank LLP , the London office of Vogue, MVA Consultancy and the UK headquarters of the head-hunting company - Odgers Ray & Berndtson.St George's Hanover Square is a short distance to the south of the square at the junction of St George Street and Maddox Street.
