United States Census Bureau , the town has a total area of 36.7 square miles (94.9 km²), of which, 36.5 square miles (94.6 km²) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.3 km²) of it (0.30%) is water.Demographics

census GR|2 of 2000, there were 434 people, 162 households, and 114 families residing in the town. Thepopulation density was 11.9 people per square mile (4.6/km²). There were 177 housing units at an average density of 4.8/sq mi (1.9/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 96.08% White, 0.92% Native American, and 3.00% from two or more races.There were 162 households out of which 28.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 61.1% were married couples living together, 7.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 29.6% were non-families. 21.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 10.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.68 and the average family size was 3.22.
In the town the population was spread out with 24.0% under the age of 18, 8.8% from 18 to 24, 24.2% from 25 to 44, 24.2% from 45 to 64, and 18.9% who were 65 years of age or older.
