NPIC provides free information via a toll-free number (1-800-858-7378) to anyone in the United States, Puerto-Rico, and the Virgin Islands including the general public, medical, veterinary, and other health care professionals. NPIC operates Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 3:30pm PST, and also provides service via email (npic@ace.orst.edu). Pesticide information is also available at NPIC's website.
Highly trained specialists can provide referrals for the following: laboratory analyses, investigation of pesticide incidents, emergency treatment information, safety information, health and environmental effects, and clean-up and disposal procedures. NPIC also produces pesticide fact sheets, frequently-asked questions and podcasts.
NPIC provides service in over 170 different languages including Mandarin, French and German along with in house Spanish speaking specialists to assist with pesticide questions. Download free, full color outreach materials in English and Spanish including: informational brochures, tear-off fliers, and informational fliers.
The National Pesticide Information Center was previously known as the "National Pesticide Telecommunication Network".[1]
