census GR|2 of 2000, there were 189 people, 72 households, and 52 families residing in the city. Thepopulation density was 173.2 people per square mile (66.9/km²). There were 84 housing units at an average density of 77.0/sq mi (29.8/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 70.37% White, 28.04% African American, 1.59% from other races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.59% of the population.There were 72 households out of which 23.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 58.3% were married couples living together, 9.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 26.4% were non-families. 22.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 16.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.63 and the average family size was 3.02.
In the city the population was spread out with 20.6% under the age of 18, 9.5% from 18 to 24, 27.5% from 25 to 44, 25.9% from 45 to 64, and 16.4% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 40 years. For every 100 females there were 83.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 82.9 males.
