Small River Lea is a minor tributary of the River Lee, which flows through the

The river leaves the Old
River Lea belowKings Weir to flow through anaqueduct under theRiver Lee Navigation atAqueduct Lock . It is joined byTurnford Brook atTurnford before meandering in a southerly direction past various lakes including the North Metropolitan and Cheshunt Lake and parallel with theWest Anglia Main Line railway line. The river forms a boundary with the Lee Valley youth hostel atCheshunt before flowing under Windmill Lane close toCheshunt railway station . Flowing close to the Lea Valley railway line and then between Bowyers Water and the River Lee Navigation before passing under the A121 road close toWaltham Cross to the west andWaltham Abbey to the east. The river passes under theM25 motorway motorway into Rammey Marsh to merge withTurkey Brook belowEnfield Lock close to theA1055 road .Ecology
