Max Lilja Background information Genres Cello rock, symphonic metal Occupations Musician, Composer, Songwriter Instruments Cello Max Lilja (born in 1975) is a cellist, formerly of cello metal/chamber music band Apocalyptica[1] and currently in the band Hevein. He left Apocalyptica in 2002. Aside from his main band, Max has done some session work as a touring member for Tarja Turunen and as a studio musician for Eilera.
In 2008 Max was asked to join Headfake, an ongoing project of Living Colour bassplayer Doug Wimbish and Living Colour drummer Will Calhoun.
