Grayson High School is located on the edge of Loganville, Georgia and Grayson, Georgia, and has a population of over 3,000 students. Grayson High School serves several areas of Gwinnett County, including Grayson, Lawreneville,and Loganville.

General information

Building information

* Construction Started: August 1998
* Land Area: 65 rooms, including but not limited to: a Band Room, Chorus Room, Orchestra Room, 2 Art Rooms, a Main Gym and Auxiliary Gym, 3 Weight Rooms, 2 elevators. The school also has over 50 trailers located in the rear of the building.
* The most unusual structural feature of the school is the tunnel leading from the basement of the school to the football field. This architectural feature, which is unique to few high schools across the state, took about 18 months to build.

chool History

* The plans for Grayson were started in the mid-90s to lessen the overcrowding of nearby high schools of South Gwinnett and Brookwood. A committee of educators from Gwinnett County met together to create and discuss specifications for the facility. The school officially opened in 2000. Currently, the principal of the school is Keith Chaney.

* The school derived its name from the school that originally joined with Snellville High School to form South Gwinnett in 1957.
