As of the
census GR|2 of 2000, there were 392 people, 172 households, and 104 families residing in the town. Thepopulation density was 1,248.4 people per square mile (488.2/km²). There were 197 housing units at an average density of 627.4/sq mi (245.4/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 99.23% White, 0.51% Native American, and 0.26% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.28% of the population.There were 172 households out of which 26.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 45.3% were married couples living together, 10.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 39.0% were non-families. 30.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 11.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.24 and the average family size was 2.84.
In the town the population was spread out with 21.9% under the age of 18, 8.7% from 18 to 24, 31.4% from 25 to 44, 25.3% from 45 to 64, and 12.8% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 38 years. For every 100 females there were 98.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 94.9 males.
