Marshall Academy of the Arts in Long Beach, California. It is located at 5870 E. Wardlow Road, Long Beach, CA 90808. As of 2009, the principal is Michael Navia. The school colors are blue and gold. The uniform colors are navy or khaki bottoms, navy and powder blue or white (collared) tops. The school mascot is the ram.
Marshall Academy of the Arts was first established in 1952 as John Marshall Middle School. Three of its more famous graduates include Tiffany Amber Thiesen, George Kelly, and Snoop Dogg (Cordazar Calvin Broadus).
Marshall has many school programs including Gifted education (Gifted and Talented Education - GATE) and Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID). As of the 2011-2012 school year, Marshall has four GATE classes for sixth graders.
