Allison is pop punk more punk than pop,they are one of the first punk bands in the country of mexico. band from Mexico City, Mexico, formed in 2003. They have achieved a grade of popularity in the mexican pop music scene in the last years, and today their music is known in some parts of Latin America and the United States.

ales/Distribution

The band's self-titled debut album reached Gold/Platinum sales in Mexico with more than 150,000 units sold. The album reached number one in sales on AMPROFON (Mexicos' SoundScan) and remained a mainstay for 14 weeks on the chart. It remained number one at retailers Mix Up (mainstay on list 13 weeks) and Tower Records in Mexico City (mainstay on the list eight weeks).

Sales in the United States reached approximately 11,000 copies sold (soundscan), 1,500 (mon & pops) and 11,000 (shipping).

The album reached the Gold status in Colombia.

The album has been edited in Mexico, U.S, Central America, Spain, Chile, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru and Argentina.

Award Shows

2006

Allison earned an MTV Latin American award for "Best New Artist-North" in 2006. Allison was the closing act for the show as well.

The band was nominated for "Best Rock Group" and "Best New Group" for Mexico's premier music awards, OYE, in 2006.

2007

Allison was also nominated "Best Alternative Artist" during the VMA's in 2007.

Product Placement/Endorsements

Allison earned a national campaign with Doritos for two months upon the release of the album with a value of 25 million pesos (2 million dollars) They also endorse Gibson Guitars,Vans Mexico, Red Bull, Xbox 360, Paco Rabanne (the band was the image for the Black XS in all Latin America during 2007-2008), Jolly Rancher (the band was the image for the candy in Mexico during 2007), Cinder Block merchandising distribution in Japan, Europe, Canada and U.S. and Coca Cola (2007).

Performances

Allison performed over 192 shows throughout the Mexico during 2006. The band sold out Teatro Metropolitan with a capacity of 3,500 people in Mexico City.

Through Allison's career, the band has shared the same stage with Yellowcard, Fall Out Boy, Over It, NHOI, National Product, Jaguares and Molotov.

Allison played 8 dates of the Warped Tour 2007. Allison was the only Latin American Band playing Warped Tour that year. The band has also performed in the Southwestern part of the United States including San Antonio, McAllen and El Paso, Texas, including the South by Southwest (SXSW) 2007/2008 music festival held in March in Austin, Texas.

Allison's international tour stops also include Argentina, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, France, Guatemala, Peru, Spain and Venezuela.
