Margaret D. Nadauld

Margaret Dyreng Nadauld (born 21 November 1944) was the eleventh general president of the Young Women organization of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) from 1997 to 2002.

Biography

Born and raised in Manti, Utah, Margaret Dyreng attended Snow College and Brigham Young University, graduating with a degree in speech and English in 1967. On 1 July 1968, Dyreng married Stephen D. Nadauld in the Manti Utah Temple. Stephen Nadauld would later serve as a general authority of the church from 1991 to 1996.

At the October 1997 church general conference, Margaret Nadauld was accepted by the church as the general president of the Young Women Organization, with Carol B. Thomas and Sharon G. Larson as her counselors. Nadauld succeeded Janette Hales Beckham, who had been president since 1992.

In 2002, Nadauld and her counselors were released. Nadauld was succeeded by Susan W. Tanner.

From 2003 to 2006, Nadauld and her husband lived in Switzerland where Stephen Nadauld was president of the Switzerland Geneva Mission of the church.

Nadauld has served as president of the Utah chapter of the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge and as the vice president of the Utah chapter of American Mothers, Inc. Nadauld is the mother of seven sons.
