parkway on the north shore ofLong Island which would have been in both Nassau and Suffolk Counties. It was intended as an extension ofBethpage State Parkway .Proposed routing
Beginning east of
Northern State Parkway 's Exit 38 at the formerly proposed norther terminus ofBethpage State Parkway (a destination that the Bethpage Parkway never reached), Caumsett State Parkway would've curved to the Northwest then crossed Woodbury Road at a half-diamond interchange, then run parallel to it as it encountered a partial cloverleaf interchange withNew York State Route 25 . After this the road would have moved further away from Woodbury Road then go under Syosset-Woodbury Road and over thePort Jefferson Branch of theLong Island Rail Road . From there the road was to curve slightly to the east.cite web|url=http://www.nycroads.com/roads/bethpage/|title=NYCRoads - Bethpage-Caumsett Parkway (unbuilt)|accessdate=2008-03-26|author=Steve Anderson]After entering Suffolk County, it was to go over
New York State Route 108 , which it would then run parallel to and high along the east coast ofCold Spring Harbor . As NY 108 ends, it would've then run parallelNew York State Route 25A , and cross over that road in an unorthodox interchange. Continuing along the coast, it was to curve right into the interior of West Neck. There it would cross over West Neck Road without an interchange, then over Lloyd Harbor as it enters Lloyd Neck andCaumsett State Historic Park , terminating just after theSound Shore Parkway .Proposed interchanges
