Pat Hughes (tennis)

George Patrick Hughes (born 21 December, 1902 in Sutton Coldfield, Warwickshire – died 8 May, 1997) was a British tennis player.

Pat Hughes and Fred Perry won the doubles at Roland Garros in 1933 and in Kooyong in 1934. Hughes later teamed up with Raymond Tuckey. They won the doubles in Wimbledon in 1936. Between 1929 and 1936 he was member of the British Davis Cup team.

He was the only British player to succeed at the Italian championships in 1931, where he also won the doubles (1931, 1932) and the mixed doubles (1931), i.e. he won all possible titles there in 1931.
