- Milpitas Unified School District
-
The Milpitas Unified School District operates nine elementary schools (K-6), two junior high schools (7-8), and three high schools (9-12) in Milpitas, California, USA. The district has 438 teachers (FTEs) serving 9516 students.
All of Milpitas' elementary schools are named after the early settlers who cultivated the land in what is now Milpitas.
Because the school is lacking funds, Measure A had been proposed in March 2005 to raise taxes by a few hundred dollars for five years. It failed to pass because it required a two-thirds approval by voters. Only 59% of the voters approved the measure.
