North Syracuse Central School District

The North Syracuse Central School District, or for short, NSCSD, is a public school district in Central New York, in the United States of America. It contains on Pre-Kindergarten school, six elementary schools (K-4), two middle schools (5-7), one Junior High School (8-9), and one senior high school (10- 12). Their "district" mascot is the unicorn, however, they are called the Northstars.

As of August 1, 2011, the superintendent of the North Syracuse Central School District is Dr. Kim Dyce Faucette of the Rochester City School District. Dr. Dyce Faucette replaced Dr. Jerome F. Melvin. Dr. Melvin first started his career as a superintendent in New York State in 1972, as the superintendent in the Liverpool Central School District. He spent 14 years as the superintendent in Liverpool until he became the superintendent at the North Syracuse Central School District in 1992. He was the superintendent at North Syracuse for almost 14 years.
