Dyersburg Northern Railroad

The Dyersburg Northern Railroad was incorporated in 1904. It ran north from a junction at Dyersburg, Tennessee with the Illinois Central Railroad' and terminated 31 miles later at Tiptonville, Tennessee.
In 1909 the name was changed to the Chicago, Memphis and Gulf Railroad, which became part of the Illinois Central Railroad. In 1983, IC sold the branch to Tennken Railroad. The track remains in-service today under the Tennken Railroad shortline.
