It is endemic to the Gansu, Qinghai, Sichuan, Sinkiang and,Yunnan provinces of China.It typically lives at elevations of 2000-4000 ft on rocky crags.The breding range of the Chinese Red Pika is May to August.The Chinese Red Pika is about 8in(20cm)in length.
