Riley, Oregon is an unincorporated community located in Harney County, Oregon, United States. Riley is about 28 miles west of the county seat Burns, at the crossroads of U.S. Highway 395 and U.S. Highway 20, milepost 104.

Elevation of Riley, Oregon is 4,290' above sea level.

A post office named Riley was established in about 1885, and was named for stockman Amos Riley of the ranching partnership Riley and Hardin.cite book

Riley post office was closed in 1919, but was reopened in 1949 after an office called "Suntex" was closed.
