List of club DJs

This is a list of notable club DJs. This list consists of professionals who perform or are known to perform at large nightclub venues, or who have been pioneers in the development of the role of the club DJ.

  • Busy P French DJ/Producer. Founder of Ed Banger Records, and former manager of French Electronic duo Daft Punk from 1996–2007
  • Carl Cox (1962 -) Carl Cox is the first person to be named number one DJ in the world on DJ Magazine's Top 100 DJ poll when he won in 1997.
  • Colin Dale - UK Techno - Tech House pioneer
  • DJ Chuckie Dutch House DJ/Producer
  • DJ Demp International Tour DJ. The ONLY DJ to have a week proclaimed in honor of his birth DEMP WEEK.
  • Darude (1975 -), Originally from Finland. Has had several global #1 hits, and was the first electronic dance DJ to be featured live on MTV Spring Break.

  • Dave Clarke (1968 -) techno DJ and producer who is notable in the techno and electro music world.
  • David Guetta (1967 -) (born 7 November 1967 in Paris) is a French DJ.
  • David Mancuso (1944 -) was the founder of New York City's first underground party, called The Loft.

  • Francis Grasso (1948–2001) Popularized several new disc jockey techniques, including beatmatching, slip-cueing and programming.
  • Frankie Knuckles (1955 -) helped to develop and popularize the electronic, disco-influenced dance music style called house music.
  • FSTZ (1971 -) United States Dubstep DJ and producer. Introduced dubstep to the heartland of America. Resident on Dubstep.fm since 2007. Voted Kansas City's best dance DJ 2009-2011 Dubstep, 4x4.
  • David Morales 35 year veteran of the NYC club scene, now travels all over the world and is signed as an artist.
  • Tony Humphries 35 year veteran of the NYC club scene, and a former resident at Zanzibar, the legendary NJ nightclub.

  • Richie Hawtin Detroit Techno Pioneer, Leading Exponent of Minimal Techno since the mid 90's, Founder of Minus Records arguably the largest and most well-known Techno Label.

  • Keoki (1969 -) is a techno musician, portrayed in the 2003 film Party Monster.
  • Larry Levan (1954–1992) was an early and prolific re-mixer and the DJ at the 1970s discothèque The Paradise Garage.
  • Mark Doyle UK-born DJ/Producer and record label owner. He founded Hed Kandi and Fierce Angel Records.
  • Mark Kamins is a DJ/mixer/producer from the New York club scene who played in Danceteria, Studio 54, Underground, and other notable clubs.
  • Maurizio "Pharaoh" Saez (1969) is a Miami based Dj/producer Well known for starting at an early age working alone side Joel hernandez at Alegro's nightclub in Miami in the early 1980s and Djing at the Fullmoon parties of Miami for 7 years straight, and his roll in underground radio stations such as AlienSignal 94.3FM Vybe radio 107.1FM.
  • Manny Lehman NYC DJ employed at Vinyl Mania for many years, he became well known after the Garage closed.
