List of Mobile Suit Gundam 00 mobile units

This is a list of fictional mobile units from the "Mobile Suit Gundam 00".

Celestial Being

In "Mobile Suit Gundam 00", the term "Gundam" is the generic designation of a line of unique and highly effective mobile unit developed by "Celestial Being".

As of the sidestory Mobile Suit Gundam 00P, the GN-000 O Gundam is the only known 1st-generation suit within the Gundam line, and only five completed GN Drives are stated to exist. However, ten 2nd-generation prototype suits are said to have been planned, each named after one of the twenty-two Major Arcana in the Tarot. Only four completed 3rd-generation Gundams have thus far been introduced in the series proper, with four known 4th-generation Gundams known to exist, the Gundam 00, Gundam Cherudim, Gundam Arios, and Gundam Seravee. Leif Aifman speculated the Gundams to be roughly a decade or two more advanced than Union mobile suits. For unspecified reasons, the Gundams cannot be tomographically sectioned.

GN-000 0 Gundam

*Designed by Kunio Okawara
*Manufacturer: Celestial Being

GNY-001 Gundam Astraea

Appears in the side-story Mobile Suit Gundam 00P.

The unit name derives from the goddess Astraea, who is associated with the card Justice -- one of the twenty-two Major Arcana in the Tarot. The other Gundam test-types follow this naming theme.

GNY-001F Gundam Astraea (Type-F)

Appears in the sidestory Mobile Suit Gundam 00F, set 15 years after 00P, as one of Fereshte Gundams. Its color scheme has been altered to red with grey highlights, and the face has been covered with a visor mask to conceal its identity as a Gundam.

GNY-002 Gundam Sadalsuud

A prototype to the Dynames, which appears in the side-story Mobile Suit Gundam 00P.

Sadalsuud (سعد السعود lit: luck of lucks), also known as Beta Aquarii, is the brightest star in the constellation Aquarius, which is associated with the image of the water bearer. The same image appears upon the face of the card The Star -- one of the twenty-two Major Arcana in the Tarot.

GNY-002F Gundam Sadalsuud (Type-F)

As of the sidestory Mobile Suit Gundam 00F, the redesignated Sadalsuud (Type-F) has undergone significant armor upgrades, but not to such a degree that the effectiveness of its sensor system is compromised.

GNY-003 Gundam Abul Hool

Appears in the sidestory Mobile Suit Gundam 00P. Not much is known about this Gundam, except that it has the ability to transform between flight mode and mobile suit mode similar to Kyrios. Its weapon armarments are unknown.

GNY-003F Gundam Abul Hool (Type-F)

Appears in the sidestory Mobile Suit Gundam 00F as one of Fereshte Gundams.

GNY-004 Gundam Plutone

Appears in the side-story Mobile Suit Gundam 00P and Mobile Suit Gundam 00F. The unit name derives from the god Pluto, who is associated with the card Judgement -- one of the twenty-two Major arcana in the Tarot.

GN-001 Gundam Exia

The protagonist unit of the anime series Mobile Suit Gundam 00, piloted by Setsuna F. Seiei. The name "Exia" is derived from "exousia", the Koine Greek for "authority".

GN-001/hs-A01 Gundam Avalanche-Exia

Appears in the side-story Mobile Suit Gundam 00V.

GN-002 Gundam Dynames

One of the protagonist units of the anime series Mobile Suit Gundam 00. The name "Dynames" is derived from "dunamis", Koine Greek for "might".

GN-002/DG014 Gundam Dynames-Torpedo

Appears in the sidestory Mobile Suit Gundam 00V.

GN-003 Gundam Kyrios

One of the protagonist units of the anime series Mobile Suit Gundam 00. The name "Kyrios" is derived from "kurios", the Koine Greek for "Lord".

GN-003/af-G02 Gundam Kyrios Gust

Appears in the side-story Mobile Suit Gundam 00V.

GN-005 Gundam Virtue

One of the protagonist units of the anime series Mobile Suit Gundam 00. The name Virtue is derived from the Christian angelic hierarchy.Fact|date=September 2008

GN-004 Gundam Nadleeh

The uncovered high-mobility mode of the GN-005 Virtue. The name "Nadleeh" is a term interchangeable with "Two-spirit," used by the Navajo tribes to denote a male spirit and a female spirit living in the same body.

GNR-001 GN Arms

It's a mobile armor/weapons platform created for Celestial Being's Gundams. The GN Arms is powered by a Gundam's GN Drive, relying on it's GN particles to power its weapons and propulsion. The Arms can act as backup combat support for the Gundam(s) or transform to dock with the mobile suit as a mobile armor.

GN-XXX Gundam Rasiel

A 3rd-generation Gundam that appears in the sidestory Mobile Suit Gundam 00P. It can combine with the mobile platform GNR-000 GN Sefer to form Sefer Rasiel.

GNR-000 GN Sefer

* Pilot: Hixar Fermi

GNR-000 GN Sefer is a prototype mobile platform developed alongside the GN-XXX Gundam Rasiel. The GNR-001 GN Arms is the enhanced mobile platform of GNR-000 Sefer. When GN Sefer and Gundam Rasiel combined, they become the Sefer Rasiel. Its pilot is Hixar Fermi.

GN 0-Riser

GN 0-Riser is a mobile weapons platform to support specifically GN-0000 00 Gundam.

* Pilot: Lockon Stratos

GN-002 Gundam Dynames' successor unit.

GN-007 Gundam Arios

* Pilot: Allelujah Haptism

Successor unit to the GN-003 Gundam Kyrios.

GN-008 Gundam Seravee

* Pilot: Tieria Erde

Successor to the GN-005 Gundam Virtue that carries over the heavy armament concept. It has the same four cannons as the Virtue but skinnier, two cannons are placed at the knees and two on the back of the unit, it is also equipped with a pair of GN-Beam sabers attached to the wrists of the unit. Of particular interest is a torso-sized gundam head on the back of the Seravee, the extent of its purpose is not known beyond the fact that it's a GN Particle emitter, which generates GN Fields when the V-fins split to expose the eyes.

GN-0000 00 Gundam

Gundam Exia’s successor unit, featuring Twin Drive System which allows it to boast particle emission volumes surpassing all other units. The drives are mounted on shoulder guards capable of rotating 180 degrees. This gives 00 Gundam vastly superior maneuverability and thrust compared to all other GN-Drive equipped mobile suits. 00 Gundam's primary armament are twin GN Blades which are not only cutting weapons but also contain a pair of GN Beam Guns.

Linear Train Industries

Linear Train Industries is the grand company controlled by Laguna Harvey.

Gundam Throne Units [GNW Series]

The Gundam Thrones were constructed and sent out by Laguna Harvey, a traitor of Celestial Being. The Thrones are similar to the four original Gundams except for the GN Drives. They are not equipped with TD Plunkets, making the operational time of the Gundam Thrones to be limited and thus requiring periodical recharge. Their names may be a reference to the Biblical Thrones, which are parts of an Angelic Hierarchy mentioned in Christianity and Judaism.

GNW-001 Gundam Throne Eins

A Gundam from the Trinity team. The GNW-001 Throne Eins, GNW-002 Throne Zwei, and GNW-003 Throne Drei are customizations of identical units. Throne Eins was shot down by Ali Al-Saachez after he hijacked the Throne Zwei, killing Johann Trinity.

GNW-001/hs-T01 Gundam Throne Eins Turbulenz

A high-speed transformable mobile suit variant of the Throne Eins, the Gundam Throne Eins Turbulenz combines aspects of the other three thrones into a single design.

GNW-002 Gundam Throne Zwei

A Gundam from the Trinity team. After Michael Trinity was shot and killed by Ali Al-Saachez, the latter took the Throne Zwei as his own, as its biometric scanner had been deactivated by the hacked Veda. He immediately proceeded to kill Johann Trinity by shooting down the Throne Eins. He later pilots Throne Zwei against the original Gundam Meisters and during an intense battle severely damage Gundam Dynames. However, Lockon Stratos was able to salvage an operational cannon from the GN Arms Type-D and use it to destroy the Throne Zwei. However in the ending of the first episode of the second season, Ali Al-Saachez is seen piloting a mobile suit resembling Throne Zwei.

GNW-003 Gundam Throne Drei

A Gundam from the Trinity team, Throne Drei is the only Throne unit remaining at the end of season one, and is currently still under the control of Nena Trinity.

Human Reform League

MSJ-04 Fanton

An older model mobile suit later converted and sold off to third parties as the Anf, the Fanton was apparently phased out after the Tieren was put into production.Fact|date=September 2008

MSJ-06 II-A Tieren Ground Type

At nearly twice the mass of the Gundam Virtue, the mainstay mobile suit of the Human Reform League is comparable in design to a bipedal tank, markedly less advanced and less maneuverable than the mass-production types of the other major powers.

The term "Tieren" (铁人 "Tiě Rén") means "iron man" in Chinese, and may be pronounced in Japanese as nihongo|"Tetsujin"|鉄人.

MSJ-06 II-AC Tieren Antiaircraft Cannon Type

The Tieren Antiaircraft Cannon Type is designed to combat the various transformable mobile suits used by other nations.

MSJ-06 II-C Tieren High Mobility Type

Possessing minimal aerial maneuverability due to its massive inertia, the High Mobility Type Tieren is so named due to the practical utility of its hover function in high-speed surface combat.

MSJ-06 II-E Tieren Space Type

Though the Space Type variant deviates little from the overall structure of the standard Tieren, the addition of nine rotatable thrusters permits adequate multidirectional maneuverability in weightlessness.

MSJ-06 II-LC Tieren Long-Range Cannon Type

A Tieren variant customized for artillery use, capable of highly accurate targeting from well beyond standard range.

MSJ-06 II-SP Tieren Taozi

Custom-crafted from the ground up to best express the physical and cognitive enhancements of the super-soldier Soma Peries, the Taozi is a highly-maneuverable general-purpose mobile suit superior to standard-model Tieren variants in any terrain.Fact|date=September 2008

The term "Taozi" ( _zh. 桃子) means "peach" in Chinese — a fruit that signifies longevity in Chinese folklore, traditionally depicted in pink.Fact|date=September 2008

Union

VMS-15 Union Realdo

A previous-generation variable mobile suit manufactured by the Union, still a mainstay of the Union Military as of 2307 despite gradual retirement in favor of its successor, the Flag.cite web|url=http://bandai-hobby.net/gundam00/|title=機動戦士ガンダム00 ダブルオー ガンプラ総合サイト |date=2007-10-25|accessdate=2007-10-26|language=Japanese] "VMS" stands for "Variable Mobile Suit.

VMS-15 Union Realdo Hover Tank

Appeared in the side-story Mobile Suit Gundam 00F, the Realdo Hover Tank is the only Mobile Armor from the Union of Solar Energy and Free Nations.

This unit appears briefly in episode 15 as a tank-like unit with the top half of the Union Realdo.

VMS-01 Union Flag

A Union variable type MS capable of transforming between mobile suit and flight modes in mid-air without assistance.

VMS-01E Graham's Union Flag Custom

Graham Aker's Union Flag Custom has twice the speed of a standard Flag. He later customizes his Flag into the GN-Flag.

VMS-01X Union Flag Custom II (GN-Flag)

First appeared in the last episode of season 1, the GN-Flag is another customized unit for Graham. All of the original means of propulsion; i.e. the MPD thruster backpacks have been removed, and a GN Drive Tau equipped. However the GN Drive tau only serves as a mean of propulsion, furthermore weapons have to be equipped via a wire, as the mobile suit was not designed to be used with a GN drive. The GN Flag only has one beam saber, this is the only offensive weapon, and is equipped via the aforementioned cable that provides the GN particle feed for the beam sabre. One major flaw in this design is the fact that the mobile suit lacks the G-force dampening that the other GN drive-powered suits are equipped with.

VMS-01O Over Flag

Hand-customized by Professor Leif Aifman, this elite model of the Union Flag is based on Graham Aker's Custom Flag and mass-produced for the ace pilots of the Anti-Gundam Investigative Squad "Over Flags".

VMS-01SG Shell Flag

Appeared in the side-story Mobile Suit Gundam 00V, and briefly in episode 15.

AEU

AEU-05 AEU Hellion

Manufactured in large numbers and exported outside of the AEU member nations. The second most common mobile suit in the world, the Hellion has been used by terrorists.

AEU-09 AEU Enact

The latest mobile suit developed by the AEU, the Enact's basic design is heavily based on the Union's Flag and shares many features such as the flight form transformation and armaments. The AEU has staked its organization's prestige on the development of this new solar energy-adapted mobile suit. It was initially not designed for Space's use, but 4 years later, the Enacts under Kataron were enhanced for space combat.

PMC Trust

AEU-05G AEU Hellion Ground Type

Manufactured in large numbers and exported outside of the AEU member nations. PMC Trust also acquired many of these units for their private army's mobile suit forces.

AEU-09Y812 AEU Enact (Ali Al-Saachez custom)

A tuned-up, improved prototype of the Enact for the PMC's Ali Al-Saachez. The colour scheme for this unit was originally blue, but after Ali was given the Agrissa the colour scheme was changed from blue to red due. This unit was later abandoned by Ali after he stole the Gundam Throne Zwei.

United Nations/Earth Sphere Federation

GNX-509T Throne Varanus

The Throne Varanus prototype design for the GN-X. It is said to be used, due to its ease of control, to instruct pilots from different nations on the controls of a GN mobile suit. Its name, "Varanus" is derived from the Arabic word "waral" ورل, which is translated to English as "monitor".Fact|date=September 2008

GNX-603T GN-X

The GN-X was a semi-mass produced mobile suit, created by Laguna Harvey. Thirty of these suits were produced and handed over in equal proportions (10 drives each) to the three superpowers.

Upon the delivery of the imitation solar furnaces and the creation of the GN-X mobile suits and despite the massive material and personal losses caused by the Throne Gundam`s armed interventions in military bases all over the world, the AEU, Human Reform League and the Union merged together to create a combined UN Army.

In terms of combat performance, the GN-X with the ace pilots easily overwhelm and outnumber the Gundam Thrones, despite the Gundam Thrones still having superior units, as the technological gap between Celestial Being and the major world powers has been bridged. However, of the the original squad of thirty only Soma's remains. However, in the four year interim that links both seasons together, the Earth Sphere Federation has been able to mass produce a new version, the GN-XIII.

GNMA-XCVII Alvatore

First appeared in episode 24, the Alvatore was a large golden Mobile Armor piloted by Alejandro Corner, who first used this unit on a joint UN operation to eradicate Celestial Being, at one point severely damaging the Ptolemaios. It had a golden mobile suit GNMS-XCVII Alvaaron stored inside its main body. The Alvatore was destroyed by Gundam Exia.

GNX-604T Advanced GN-X

An enhanced version of the GNX-603T GN-X.

GNX-609T GN-XIII

Successor to the GN-X. The GN-XIII is the Federation's mass produced mobile suit used by both the peacekeeping army and the elite A-Laws force. Overall design is similar to the GN-X, minus the four thruster canards. The units are equip with a GN Beam Lance, which doubles as both a melee weapon and beam rifle.

GNX-704T Ahead

A new mobile suit derived in part from the GN-X series, which is used by the Earth Sphere Federation's elite A-Laws unit. Slightly larger than the GN-XIII, the Ahead boasts a pair of GN Thrusts mounted on either side of its GN-Drive, giving the Ahead greater maneuverability and speed than standard Federation mobile suits. It is equip with a GN Shield and GN Beam Rifle. It also carries a pair of GN Sabers mounted in the shoulders.

Other

MSER-04 Anf

A mass-produced and easily accessible mobile suit from the Human Reform League, the slow-moving Anf (Arabic for nose), sees use in military groups around the world. Before the HRL retired it from their own military, the Anf was known as the MSJ-04 Fanton. From its design, the Anf appears to be widely used, albeit outdated.Fact|date=September 2008

Workloader

A small tripedal mobile suit with a wheel at the base of each foot, generally used for purposes relating to construction. A number of groups have modified the unit for use as a combat vehicle. Its appearance is similar to the real-life rescue robot T-52 Enryu.cite web|url=http://www.enryu.jp/t52/index.html|title=Welcome! t-52援竜ホームページ |date=2007-07-17|accessdate=2007-11-23|language=Japanese]
