Lawrie MacMillan

Lawrie MacMillan is a freelance bass guitarist and bass teacher from Rosyth in Fife, Scotland.

Best known for his work with the chart-topping group Stiltskin fronted by vocalist Ray Wilson (musician), who in the late 1990s also fronted the band Genesis, replacing Phil Collins.

Lawrie has also performed, toured and recorded with artists and bands including Stuart Adamson, The Raphaels, Ironhorse, Willie Logan and was featured as Glasgow Royal Concert Hall's house bass player on the BBC2 series Ealtainn.

Lawrie endorses Elixir Strings and plays Sadowsky Bass Guitars ('59 Burst Standard 5 & Ice Blue Metallic Vintage 5). He also uses Aguilar Bass Amplifiers (DB750) and Eden Cabinets (4x10" XLT and 2x10 XST). [http://www.sadowsky.com/pop/artists/macmillan.html]

In the past Lawrie has been known use a fretless Warwick Streamer Stage One 5 & a fretted Warwick Streamer Stage One 6 string.
