Meri Doli Tere Angana was a Hindi TV serial that aired on Zee TV, based on the concept of a struggle of a woman who is totally committed and believes in herself. Plot

The serial is based on a girl name Simran, who is an orphan and has been brought up by her chacha-chachi. Her chacha-chachi is everything for her and therefore, she believes that whatever they will choose for her will be the best. In the serial, she chooses to go for an arranged marriage, and gets married to Ruhaan, who belongs to one of the wealthiest families in the city. However on the day of her marriage Ruhaan reveals that he loves someone else, and their wedding is a mistake. This brings Simran at a crossroad where she can't go back to her house because her chacha is heart patient, nor she can move with what Ruhaan said.

Like all other traditional Indian girls, Simran decides to abide by her responsibilities as a wife, a daughter, a daughter in law of a prestigious family. She decides to fight against the shadow from her husband's past and get her husband back.

Later, as the story moves on, Ruhaan and Simran goes to Goa for their (pretense) honeymoon. There Ruhaan finds out that the girl he loves is married to someone else. Now, he tries to change and starts having feelings for Simran. But Simran is thinking Ruhaan wants to divorce her. After a few very predictable misunderstandings they get back together. Suhana, Ruhaan's first love was not dead so she comes back and tries to win Ruhaan back. So she played tricks on Simran, the family and Ruhaan start believing Suhana and start hating Simran, but after a while the truth is revealed. Suhana gets very mad so she pushes Simran and Ruhaan off a cliff and fall into deep water. Simran dies but fortunately, Ruhaan is saved by a girl name Sargam (new protagonist), who takes him to her home, and now Ruhaan will be living with this new family. Besides that Sargam is getting married to Vedant, but after meeting this stranger Ruhaan, she starts having feelings for him. Now the question remains that:::Will Sargam get marry to Ruhaan or Vedant? Will Ruhaan be the same after gaining his memory back/Will he forget Simran?

Sargam Marries Ruhaan. Ruhaan is not the same he forgets everything and he tells Sargam that until he doesn't regain his memory back they won't have any "that" kind of relationship. One day Ruhaan finally regains his memory when he sees his dad and they take him home with Sargam, but he still remembers Simran.
