The GJIA has ten regular sections focusing on difference fields of international relations. The first section, called the "Forum", consists of a series of articles analyzing a particular foreign affairs topic in depth; in the past this has included megacities,
transnational crime , and space-based weapons. The other nine sections are "Business and Economics", "Conflict and Security", "Culture and Society", "Law and Ethics", "Politics and Diplomacy", "Science and Technology", "Books", "View from the Ground", and "A Look Back".
