Radio Tircoed is a self-funded community based radio station serving the areas of Tircoed, Penllergaer, Pontardulais, Gorseinon, Pontlliw and the M4 Corridor between J47 and J 48 West of Swansea, south Wales. Its only on-air period to date - a RSL transmission - took place from December 2006 to January 2007. On February 13th 2007, the station was given permission by OFCOM to broadcast around the clock on a permanent basis.

The launch plan is to broadcast a wide range of programming in Welsh and English with original features including children's stories, local documentaries, topical chat, and a wide range of music.

As of June 2008, the permanent launch has been delayed owing to numerous funding setbacks. The station broadcast for another RSL period during July 2008, and is due to begin permanent broadcasts from December 2008.
