Biography
Doug Ardito is the bassist/guitarist for Puddle of Mudd which he joined in 1999. That same year, Ardito also recorded two songs with the short-lived supergroup The Wondergirls. Ardito co-wrote the song "Blurry", from Puddle of Mudd's album Come Clean. Guitar One magazine voted Ardito's guitar part in "Blurry" as one of the "top ten riffs of the decade". "Blurry" won ASCAP's coveted "song of the year" award and "pop song of the year" in 2003 "Blurry" also won 2 billboard awards in 2002, for "modern rock track of the year" and " rock track of the year". The group also won "modern rock artist of the year" and "rock artist of the year" awards. Sweeping all four rock billboard awards, not done since U2. "Blurry" also won kerrang!'s "best single" award in 2002. A few tracks off the Famous album were co-written by him as well, including the album's title track. Ardito is a Fender Musical Instruments endorsed artist. [1]
