Paul James Phillips (born June 26, 1975, in Brunswick, Georgia) was a guitarist for the band Puddle of Mudd since their 2001 hit album "Come Clean". He also assisted with guitars and vocals in the group's second record, "Life on Display". Phillips left the band in 2005, citing creative differences.

He joined the band when his friend Fred Durst invited him to audition for a band for Durst's record label. He had previously played guitar in the Jacksonville ska/punk band Happy Hour. He has since joined the band Operator whose debut album was released in the summer of 2007.

On April 3, 2008 the Jacksonville Florida band Society Red announced on their Myspace page via a bulletin that Paul Philips was joining the band. Their first show will be at Jackrabbits in Jacksonville Florida on April 11, 2008.

America's Most Wanted

There was a [http://www.amw.com/fugitives/brief.cfm?id=39867 wanted fugitive] in 2006 who claimed to be Paul Phillips and is wanted for assault with a deadly weapon.

As reported on the September 23, 2006 edition of America's Most Wanted, the culprit, whose name is Martin Minter, was captured, just one week after appearing as a wanted fugitive on the program.
