Lee Seung Gi (이승기), born on January 13, 1987, is a K-pop singer. He debuted at the age of 17 in 2004 when he was still a high school student. "Because You're My Girl", his debut single, was a very popular ballad and created a "liking older women" syndrome in South Korea. In the 2004 MBC Music Awards, he won the Best New Artist award.

Lee Seung Gi was a regular guest on SBS's "X-Man". He also joined KBS's "1 Night, 2 Days" show, part of the network's "Happy Sunday" lineup, as one of its permanent members, debuting on the November 11th episode. This is where he got his nickname "huhdang" (허당) He won the best male artist award in the MKMF music festival.
