Tama-Plaza Station

nihongo|Tama-Plaza Station|たまプラーザ駅|Tama Purāza eki is located on the Tōkyū Den-en-toshi Line in Yokohama, Japan. It is 19 minutes (on the Express train) from the Shibuya Station in Tokyo.

Tama-Plaza is sandwiched between Saginuma (located in Kawasaki) on one side and Azamino (located in Yokohama) on the other. In most respects, Tama-Plaza is quite the opposite to the cool urban chic of Shibuya. It is a somewhat up-market commuter station (known as a "bed-town"), serving the Tokyo/Yokohama megalopolis. It is noted for its relatively spacious expensive houses and the Tokyu department store, both contributing to the suburban spick-and-span ambiance. Convenient in terms of location, this pleasant area is an ideal place to allow residents to be extremely close to Tokyo, without the pollution, crowds and noise.
