The cross in the centre of the logo represents the schools strong commitments to the Christian faith, being an Anglicanschool. It also serves the purpose of dividing the logo, the four created sections representing the spiritual, physical, social and intellectual programmes within the school curriculum.
The red in the emblem represents the blood of Jesus Christ, and the schools traditional English heritage. The schools namesake, clergyman
John Wollaston , brought with him the standard of St. George, leading to its specific inclusion in the logo. The blue section is a symbol of loyalty and splendour. It is also a depiction of the nearby Canning River with travels through the area.
The white is a demonstration of the serenity and nobility the school aims to achieve. It is also the colour of the books and seats which assist the education process.
The gold is symbolic of generosity and perseverance.
The 'three interwoven fields' represent the land on which the school is situated, which once was farmland known as 'Melody Farm'. It is also symbolic of the student-teacher-parent relationship which the school persists to maintain.
The
Mitre , the symbol of the Bishop or Archbishop, demonstrates that JWACS is a part of theAnglican Diocese of Perth .External links
