The Animated Gospel Choir

The Animated Gospel Choir began in the summer of 1995. The founders of the choir attended a puppet workshop in Holland, after which they decided to form a choir that featured puppets. From humble beginnings with a small group of 3, today there are 12 puppeteers and are still growing. The choir has performed all over the UK at:Festivals , Concerts, Churches, Schools, Conferences, Fetes , Hotels, Open Air Shows , Parties, Holiday Resorts, Shopping Centres, Carnivals

The Animated Gospel Choir were finalist on the BBC2 show "Let Me Entertain You" (in September 2006) & were also featured on ITV1 "Britain's Got Talent" June 2007.

In addition the choir has performed overseas in:Germany, Austria, USA, South Africa, Holland, Ireland , Denmark

The choir has also won 3 awards:

Britain's Got Talent

The Animated Gospel Choir auditioned for the show but due to their religious beliefs of observing

the Sabbath (they are Seventhday Adventists) were not able to attend the second round of auditions which was on a Saturday. The producers were very keen for the choir to come back so they moved their audition to a week day instead. They performed Joyful Joyful (the version of the song from the film Sister Act 2); the judges reacted positively with Simon Cowell commenting that the choir was very good and the best puppet act they had seen in the whole competition.

Personal life

The Animated Gospel Choir attends the Walthamstow Seventhday Adventist Church in Walthamstow east London. The have a demanding schedule of performances and perform all over the UK and are scheduled to go to Spain in July 2007.
